Kyo Machiko

Manga artist, born in Tokyo. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Advanced Art and Design, and Setsu Mode Seminar. Her one-page manga "Sennen Gaho", which she updated on her blog, was well received and chosen in the 1st “Hobo nichi Manga Taisho in 2005, and in 2006 and 2007 she was selected as a "Jury Recommended Work Award" at the Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival and caught attention as a new manga artist who has emerged in the age of social networking. In 2010, "cocoon" and in 2013, "Anone," were selected as " Jury Recommended Work Award" at the Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival; in 2014, "Mitsuami no Kamisama" and others won the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award New talent Prize; in 2015, "Ichigo Senso" won the Japan Manga Association Award Grand Prize (Cartoon Division).
